It’s time for another amazing nail tutorial from one of my faves, The Beauty Department! I love the color combination used here and the outlining of the nail. Personally, I have really small nails, so I think this might look super cool! Excited to try!

5 Insanely Simple Work-Life Balance Shortcuts From People Who “Have It All”
Make it your responsibility to decide what matters, and when to get it done—no one else is going to determine or prioritize it for you.
Don’t keep separate work and personal calendars or priority lists. (Fast Company likes Clear, if you need an app.)
Frequently take stock of what’s working and what’s not—because it’s always changing. Put that on your calendar.
Schedule time for small, manageable steps in the areas of their life they’ve identified as important instead of just identifying huge, lofty goals.
Focus on and celebrate what does get done, not what falls by the wayside—small or partial steps are better than nothing.

Peep Game!

A FB post I made tonight…

Irritated at the timing of the #DNC! So many missed the FLOTUS on Wednesday for NFL Kickoff: fail. Today many are missing the POTUS due to the VMA’s: fail. Since when were the VMA’s on a weeknight? FYI : just researched the past 2 years of VMA air dates and they were BOTH on Sunday! #irony Doubt it! I know, those who WANT to watch are, but in the words of Chris Berman, c’mon man! Be aware of the game. It’s being played!

So Inspired

Michelle Obama is EVERYTHING! So inspired.

v. in·spired, in·spir·ing, in·spires. v.tr. 1. To affect, guide, or arouse by divine influence. 2. To fill with enlivening or exalting emotion

I usually don’t take to social media when election time is approaching. I have a very diverse friend and follower base. I did feel compelled to tweet and update statuses on Michelle Obama’s speech.

The feeling of inspiration and pride was not about being a Democrat, not about being an educated woman, not about being black, or anything. It was about being a woman and proud of her FLOTUS. She was amazing. Her grace, poise and articulation with the delivery of her message was amazing!

Now, let me speak on my pride for a beautiful, black and educated woman. This speech was perfect timing for black women. We have many negative views of us produced and promoted by us out int he media. With everything from BBW, RHOW, LHHA and other crap shows we have not been portrayed in the best light. This evening-WE WERE!

And for the record…I am proud.

Oh, and what was the color of the FLOTUS’ nails! #Werk
